James Burk

James Burk is a technology leader with over 24 years of experience at Microsoft in technical project management, now providing fractional CTO consulting through North Bend Digital. He specializes in Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud architecture, and AI integration for businesses. As Executive Director of The Mars Society, the world's largest space advocacy organization, James oversees analog research station programs and expeditions, including commanding crews at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah. He also leads the Mars Technology Institute, the Society's technology development arm, and is responsible for STEM learning initiatives and large-scale events such as the annual international convention.
